Lovely people, I PROMISE I will catch up on the old Cancer Dresses. This week, I finished number 22 for my birthday. It is the Sauvie Sundress, version 4 from Sew House Seven in black Silk Noil from Dharma Fabrics. Silk Noil or raw silk has a nubbly, soft texture not unlike flannel. It’s lighter than cotton, and extremely breathable. The hair continues sheep-like and unruly, but we appear to have reached a détente.
I also made myself a cake. Almond cake with almond caramel topping.
As for the other news, my CT scan results came back “stable.” This is good. The guy who did the contrast IV 100% overshot the vein, so people of a certain generation have been making “jokes” about my husband beating me all week. Sigh. I still get poisoned tomorrow with the standard immunotherapy. If I can stay awake long enough, we will go to late lunch/early dinner somewhere fancy-ish.
Tonight: shallot tart tatin with a lightly dressed salad because I like it and I have enough energy to feed myself. This is great progress.
